It's Not Called What You'd Think

Work continues apace on the Make. I've had to scrap everything a couple of times and start from scratch, but those were learning experiences. The first was because I'd simply reached a point in my building where I would have had to make too many little tweaks to the structure to get everything aligned properly. The second was because I did not read directions carefully and managed to corrupt the file.

I fully guarantee I will learn nothing from this.

Currently I am working with a mesh of an artist's posable figure. I found the mesh for free, but it's not actually posable ingame, because it has no skeleton. A learning opportunity! I exported the mesh to Blender and have started adding the skeleton bones so it can be posed. This process is called rigging, rather than boning. Frankly I am disappointed. I've also been giving a bit more thought to Build. One idea I've had kicking around in my head for a couple of years now is to make an animated jack-o-lantern. Something that would look like a normal jack-o-lantern, but when triggered would do one or more of a variety of things, like shake, play spooky sounds, shoot out smoke, and change colors. These things are all very doable, but at the moment, as with all physical projects, I am somewhat limited by the space I have to work, which is functionally none.
